News Topical, Digital Desk : The Revdar Panchayat Samiti area in Sirohi district of Rajasthan was rocked on Tuesday when the Jaipur Special Team of the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Dinesh Vaishnav, the Panchayat Samiti's JTE, red-handed while accepting a bribe of 80,000 rupees. The operation was carried out by setting a trap outside the Panchayat Samiti office.
According to ACB sources, JTE Dinesh Vaishnav demanded ₹10,000 per kettle in exchange for approving a proposal to build a cattle shed in the Udwariya Gram Panchayat. This amount was later settled at ₹8,000 per kettle. The complainant, Jetaram, administrator of Udwariya, had complained to the ACB about the bribe being demanded in exchange for approving the proposal.

After receiving the complaint, the ACB verified the entire matter on February 11th. Upon finding the complaint prima facie credible, a special investigation team was formed from the Jaipur headquarters. The team planned its approach to Revdar and set up a trap in front of the Panchayat Samiti office.
On Tuesday, as soon as the accused Jetiya accepted a bribe of 80,000 rupees from the complainant, the ACB team apprehended him on the spot. The entire operation was conducted in utmost secrecy, leaving the accused uninformed.
Action taken under the direction of DG
This operation was carried out on the instructions of ACB Director General Govind Gupta. The trap was led by ACB Inspector Raghuveer Singh. During the operation, the team completed the necessary legal procedures and took the accused into custody.
The ACB team is currently questioning the accused. It is also investigating whether any other employees or officials are involved in this case.

As soon as news of this action spread, there was an uproar in the Panchayat Samiti area. The issue of illegal collections being made in the name of approval for development work became a topic of discussion among the public and public representatives.
It is noteworthy that the ACB is consistently taking a tough stance to curb corruption cases in the state. Revdar's action is a clear indication that negligence at any level will not be tolerated in bribery cases. This action by the ACB sends a message to the Panchayat Samiti area that the agency is fully active in ensuring transparency and accountability in government schemes.
