
News Topical, Digital Desk : One person was killed and six others injured when a slab collapsed during construction work at an under-construction fire station of the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation in Maharashtra's Kolhapur, an official said.
The officer said that the fire department rescued five people in the incident that took place on Tuesday night.
Kolhapur Municipal Corporation Chief Fire Officer Manish Ranbise told ANI that the construction work of the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation's fire department building was going on today.
The slab work was in its final stages, but the slab collapsed. Six people, including the contractor and other workers, were trapped inside. The fire department rescued five.
However, Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Dheeraj Kumar Bachchu confirmed that one person died after the roof of an under-construction building collapsed in the Phulewadi area.
