National News : Assembly elections are to be held in Maharashtra within the next few months. The main contest in the state is between Sharad Pawar's Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of Congress, Shiv Sena UBT and NCP and the Mahayuti of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP. Both the alliances have already started preparing for the elections. However, in the meantime, Aam Aadmi Party, part of the INDIA alliance, has given a big blow to MVA. Let's know the whole matter.

 Candidates for all 36 assembly seats in Mumbai 

Aam Aadmi Party has announced that it will contest the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections alone. Aam Aadmi Party will field candidates in all 36 assembly seats of Mumbai. Aam Aadmi Party, Maharashtra President Preeti Memon has claimed that our allies and workers are fully prepared in the rest of the state as well. 

The alliance was for the Lok Sabha elections- AAP

Aam Aadmi Party leader Preeti Sharma Menon said the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP was part of the opposition INDIA alliance. The alliance was for the Lok Sabha elections and will continue together at the national level. She said the party will contest all 36 seats in Mumbai. Raj Thackeray also fielded a candidate

On the other hand, Maharashtra Nirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has blown the election bugle on behalf of his party.
