Explaining the reason behind her return to India, she said, “A lot happened. My parents were living with me, and all my siblings are in the US. Ram's family is also there. My parents were getting old and they wanted to come back to India. They were with me throughout my life and career, and I didn't want to leave them alone.”
She continued, "Secondly, my job was here. I would come to India, do my work, and then go back to the US. The distance was making it very difficult. Ram also felt that most of the patients who came to him were in very bad condition. He wanted to catch their problems early. So he wanted to create a system to make people healthy and take care of their health. We both thought that maybe this was a calling, because everything was going well." She concluded by saying that both her husband and she believed that returning to India would be the best decision, and so they did.
