According to family members, Amarveer Singh went to Canada for higher education in 2022. After completing his studies, he was working there as a truck driver on a work permit. Amarveer Singh was the only brother of his three sisters, and his death has deeply shocked the family.

Amarveer Singh's death has cast a pall of grief over his village, Katahari, and the entire area. Amarveer Singh's father, Singara Singh, said his son was a hardworking student and wanted to pursue a better future abroad. He also revealed that Amarveer Singh was scheduled to return to Punjab this year, but the family received the tragic news before he could return.

The last rites were performed, the MLA expressed grief

Amarveer Singh's body was brought from Canada to Katahari village in Payal tehsil. The last rites were performed today after the body arrived in the village. Villagers bid him a tearful farewell. Payal MLA Manvinder Singh Gyaspura also expressed his deep condolences to Amarveer Singh's family.
