Consequently, the Karwa Chauth fast will be observed on October 10th (when is Karwa Chauth 2025). The moon will rise at 7:42 PM on this day. The auspicious time for performing puja is from 5:16 PM to 6:29 PM.

The festival of Karva Chauth is celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion every year on the Chaturthi Tithi (fourth day) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Kartik. On this day, married women observe a fast without water and break it only after performing puja and moon-gazing in the evening.

According to religious belief,  Goddess Parvati  initiated the Sargi ritual during the Karva Chauth fast.
