News Topical, Digital Desk : Amid the controversy surrounding Nishad Party president and Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Sanjay Nishad's statement regarding Ballia district, the Karni Sena district president has announced a reward of ₹551,000 to anyone who "cuts off" Nishad's tongue. The Congress party has also filed a complaint with the Bansdih police station, demanding an FIR against the minister. The controversy erupted after a video of Nishad's speech at a party workers' meeting in Bansdih on Saturday went viral.

In the video, the minister can be heard saying, “Many people here were agents of the British. This practice of brokerage continued and continues even now. That's why Ballia is still in ruins. Otherwise, Ballia was a rebellious Ballia. We killed and drove away the British. We liberated the country.” The video of this statement went viral on social media and Minister Nishad came under attack from opposition parties as well as the people of Ballia.

Nishad Party is still silent on this issue.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Karni Sena district president Kamlesh Singh said he would offer a reward of 551,000 rupees to anyone who brings Minister Sanjay Nishad's tongue. "His comments about Ballia reflect his sick mentality," Kamlesh Singh said. "Ballia's Mangal Pandey sounded the bugle of revolution. I will reward anyone who brings Nishad's tongue." Meanwhile, Congress workers held a symbolic funeral procession for the minister in Ballia on Monday.

Congress District President Umashankar Pathak told reporters on Tuesday, "We burned the minister's effigy in Ballia city yesterday. Since no action has been taken even 72 hours after his statement, I have now filed a complaint with the Bansdih police station, demanding a case be filed against him." There was no immediate response from the minister or the Nishad Party on this incident.
