
News Topical, Digital Desk : Four men hung a migrant labourer upside down and beat him with sticks in the basement of an under-construction building in Gurugram's Sector 37-C, police said on Tuesday. The labourer, a resident of Rajasthan, drove a JCB machine and was accused of stealing electric wires, police said. According to police, the incident took place on June 10 and the matter came to light after a purported video of the beating went viral on social media. Police have arrested four people seen in the video.
People caught the JCB driver on charges of theft
Officials said all those arrested were security guards of the residential building where the video was made. According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Pushpendra, 39, a resident of Bhind in Madhya Pradesh, Ajeet Singh, 38, a resident of Kharak Kalan village in Bhiwani, Krishan Kumar, 19, a resident of Khandoda in Rewari, and Amit Kumar, 39, a resident of Khasa village in Amritsar. "During interrogation, it was revealed that all the accused worked as security guards in the under-construction society building. The man they thrashed worked as a JCB driver there," a Gurugram police spokesperson said.
4 people beat him up after hanging him upside down
He said that on the night of June 10, the driver had allegedly stolen some electric wires from the construction site and four people beat him for this. The spokesperson said that the victim no longer works at the construction site. Let us tell you that earlier, the police had arrested two autorickshaw drivers for beating a person to death after catching him with an allegedly stolen autorickshaw in Delhi's R.K. Puram area. An officer gave this information here on Monday. The officer said that Sushil Kumar (22) and Amit (19) are accused of beating the person and leaving him unconscious.
