News Topical, Digital Desk : Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange left for Mumbai on Wednesday. He is adamant on starting his movement in Mumbai from August 29. In view of this, the government has sent a delegation to meet him.

Speaking to the media at his native village Antarwali Sarati in Jalna district, Jarange said that his supporters would protest in a peaceful manner and ensure that no one faces any inconvenience during the Ganesh festival.

The Jalna police allowed Jarange and his supporters to continue with the march after imposing 40 conditions. These conditions include directing them to avoid any law and order situation, not obstruct vehicular movement and not raise objectionable slogans.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the ruling BJP had on Tuesday requested Jarang to reconsider his plans to hold protests in Mumbai during the Ganesh festival beginning on August 27.

Despite attempts by the state government to stop him, Jarange has announced that he will again go on an indefinite hunger strike for Maratha reservation in Mumbai from August 29.
