News Topical, Digital Desk : A family returning from visiting the Shikari Mata Temple in Janjheli lost their way. The family, along with their young children, had to spend the night in the forest. However, the eight-member family was found safe near Tangral Nala on Friday morning. The family is from the Dadaur area. They had lost their way due to dense forest and fog on the evening of October 23rd at around 7:30 pm.
As soon as the administration received the information, an SDRF team was dispatched to Janjheli at 11:00 pm and reached the Ruhada area at 2:00 am and began the search and rescue operation. After an overnight search, all family members were found safe at 6:30 am today.
The mission was completed under difficult circumstances
Thunag SDM Manu Verma remained at the site throughout the night, monitoring the rescue efforts. Teams from the police, revenue department, home guards, fire brigade, and local volunteers worked in coordination to complete the operation under difficult conditions.
SDRF deployed
The family, consisting of eight members, including retired principal Rajendra Kumar, lost their way while returning from a temple. Aarti, a resident of Janjehli and a former student of his, was also present with Rajendra Kumar. Deputy Principal Bhim Singh alerted the Janjehli police station, following which three separate search teams were deployed: one headed towards Budhakedar, the second along the main road from the Raigarh area, and the third from Dejji towards Pakhthiyar. When the initial search was unsuccessful, the SDRF was deployed through the District Emergency Operations Center, Mandi.
Due to the joint efforts of the administration and police, this operation was completely successful and all the members have returned safely with their families.
