News Topical, Digital Desk : The Rajasthan government has announced financial assistance for the dependents of those killed in the Jaisalmer bus accident. Under this provision, financial assistance of ₹10 lakh each has been approved for the dependents of the deceased. According to an official statement, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has approved financial assistance for the dependents of the deceased and the injured in the Jaisalmer bus accident.

The Chief Minister said that in this hour of grief, the state government stands with the families of the deceased and is committed to providing them full support and best possible treatment to the injured.

Who will get how much assistance

Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹10 lakh each has been approved for the dependents of the deceased. Families where three or more people died in this accident will receive ₹25 lakh each. Those seriously injured will receive ₹2 lakh each, and those injured ₹1 lakh each. CM Sharma granted this approval by relaxing the rules of the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

The bus turned into a ball of fire in no time.

On Tuesday afternoon ( October 14 ), a private bus bound for Jodhpur caught fire barely ten minutes after departing from Jaisalmer. The bus erupted into a ball of flames, burning 19 passengers alive and seriously injuring 16 others. One of the seriously injured died on the way to the hospital on Tuesday night. Another injured person died on Wednesday ( October 15 ) .
