News Topical, Digital Desk : A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Kishangarhbas town of Khairthal-Tijara district of Rajasthan. The body of a man was found in a drum kept on the roof of the house while his wife and 3 children mysteriously went missing.

The deceased has been identified as Hansram alias Suraj, a resident of Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, who lived in a rented house here with his wife and children. The incident, which came to light on August 17, has shaken the entire area and the police have started investigating it as a case of murder.

Neighbors complained about the foul smell

Police reached the spot after receiving complaints from neighbours about foul smell coming from the house and searched a drum kept on the roof, from where the body was found. According to PTI, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendra Singh Nirvana said that the deceased was attacked with a sharp weapon and salt was sprinkled on the body to make it decay faster.

Deceased's wife and children missing

The investigation also revealed that Hansram was living on rent in Adarsh Colony for the last one and a half months and was working as a labourer at a brick kiln. After the incident, his wife Sunita, 3 children and the landlord's son Jitendra suddenly disappeared, which has further complicated the case.

What did the initial police investigation reveal?

Initial police investigation revealed that Hansram was addicted to alcohol and often drank with the landlord's son Jitendra. Neither Hansram's family was seen since Saturday evening nor was there any trace of Jitendra. This situation points to both murder and kidnapping. The police is now examining call details, nearby CCTV footage and statements of witnesses. At present, the search for the missing family members and Jitendra has been intensified and the body has been sent for post-mortem.

People are discussing various things in hushed tones and deep concern is being expressed about the safety of the family members. The police is investigating many angles to solve this case and the officers believe that the possibility of personal enmity or family dispute behind the murder cannot be ruled out. However, until the missing family and Jitendra are found, this mystery is deepening.
