News Topical, Digital Desk : The Israeli military said on Tuesday that its troops attacked several Hezbollah targets in several areas of southern Lebanon, including a training compound used by the armed group's Radwan Army.
In fact, in a statement, the Israeli army said that Hezbollah's military structures and a launch site were also targeted in the attacks.
The attack comes less than a week after both Israel and Lebanon sent civilian envoys to the military command that monitors their ceasefire.
This is a step towards fulfilling the US's months-old demand that the two countries move forward with talks in line with President Donald Trump's Middle East peace agenda.
A ceasefire was signed between Lebanon and Israel last year.
Israel and Lebanon agreed to a US-brokered ceasefire in 2024, ending more than a year of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah. Since then, they have accused each other of violations.
Lebanon's state news agency NNO reported that Israeli warplanes carried out air strikes targeting several locations in the south.
