News Topical, Digital Desk : Amid the increased tension between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, a big news has come out. The navies of both the countries are going to practice face-to-face. According to defense sources, Indian Navy warships will practice in the Arabian Sea on 11-12 August. The Pakistani Navy has also issued a notice (NOTAM) to the airmen for practicing in its waters.

This exercise by the Indian Navy will take place on the Porbandar and Okha coast of Gujarat. Whereas, Pakistan's maritime exercise will take place at a distance of about 60 nautical miles from here.

Actually, this maritime exercise of the armies of both the countries is regular. However, this time the date and location of the two armies have drawn people's attention towards it. The navies of both the countries have been on alert mode since Operation Sindoor. Meanwhile, this maritime exercise can be a part of the important strategy of both.

Operation Sindoor in response to Pahalgam attack

On April 22, a terrorist attack took place in the Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 tourists lost their lives. The responsibility for this attack was claimed by the terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF), which is believed to be a proxy organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba. In response to the Pahalgam attack, India launched Operation Sindoor on the midnight of 7-8 May.

Under this operation, the Indian Air Force destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and killed more than 100 terrorists. When Pakistan retaliated, India foiled its attacks and destroyed many airbases.

6 Pakistani planes were shot down by S-400

Recently, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh made a big revelation. He said that during Operation Sindoor, India shot down a total of 6 Pakistani aircraft. Among them, five fighter aircraft and a large Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft of Pakistan were also destroyed. He said that these aircraft were shot down by the S-400 air defense system. This attack was carried out from a distance of about 300 kilometers, which he described as the biggest surface-to-air attack till date.
