Actually, the Indian Space Research Organization i.e. ISRO is going to launch the EOS-09 satellite on June 18 next month. This satellite is also known as RISAT-1B. What will the satellite do?

This satellite will be launched by ISRO through PSLV-C61 XL launch vehicle. This vehicle will carry the 1,710 kg EOS-09 satellite to an orbit of 529 km. Let us tell you that this satellite of India is equipped with C-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR), which will provide high-resolution photos of the earth's surface, day and night, regardless of weather conditions.

The EOS-09 satellite is the seventh satellite in the RISAT series and is expected to play a vital role in the country's defence operations. It will provide crucial information for military planning and operations and will also be used for disaster management and monitoring of natural resources.
