News Topical, Digital Desk : Pakistan authorities on Wednesday extended the ban on its airspace for Indian aircraft till September 23. The Pakistan Airports Authority has issued a new NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), announcing the extension of the ban on Indian aircraft over Pakistan's airspace by one month.

The airport authority said all aircraft operated by Indian airlines will not be allowed to use Pakistani airspace. The ban will also apply to military and civilian aircraft owned or leased by India.

The ban was first imposed on April 23 for a month in the wake of tensions between the two countries after the Pahalgam terror attack. The move barred Indian aircraft from flying over Pakistani territory.

A few days later, on 30 April, India retaliated by closing its airspace for Pakistani aircraft and airlines. The ban was first extended on 23 May.
