News Topical, Digital Desk : India has prepared a roadmap to become a major military superpower in the next 15 years. The government wants the army to be ahead in power as well as technology so that if a war has to be fought in space, the army remains ahead. For this, the Defense Ministry is working on the rejuvenation of the three forces - water, land and sky.
Will be equipped with high energy laser weapon and stealth drone
The government's main focus is on AI-powered weapons and direct energy laser weapons as well as stealth drones. These are being considered as the lethal weapons of the future.
Space-based warfare technology will be worked on
Four months after introducing India's strength to the world through Operation Sindoor, the roadmap prepared by the government will include work on nuclear-powered warships, next-generation battle tanks, hypersonic missiles and space-based warfare technology.
To increase the strength of the Navy in the Indian Ocean, a nuclear powered aircraft carrier will soon be built in the country. There is a plan to build 10 such warships in the future. Indigenously built fighter aircraft will be deployed on these.
The country currently has two aircraft carriers
The country currently has two aircraft carriers, one of which is from Russia and the other is an indigenous warship. Electromagnetic aircraft launch system will be installed on the warships. Apart from this, seven advanced warships and four landing dock platforms will also be built.
To upgrade the country's air power, the Air Force will get 75 high altitude pseudo-satellites, 150 stealth bomber drones, hundreds of precision-guided weapons and 100 remote-controlled aircraft. There are also plans to induct new generation double-engine fighter aircraft, deck-based fighter aircraft and light fighter aircraft into the Air Force.
Air defense systems that can shoot down drones will also be developed
According to the Defence Ministry's vision document, the army will be equipped with about 1,800 state-of-the-art tanks to replace the T-72 fleet, 400 light tanks for mountain warfare, 50,000 tank-mounted anti-tank guided missiles and over 700 robotic counter-IED systems. Air defence systems that can shoot down drones will also be developed.
Armed forces plan to fight hi-tech war
According to the plan, the need for stealth drones will increase in the armed forces. These drones will be able to fly at supersonic speed at a height of 15 kilometers and will also be able to carry out air strikes carrying heavy weapons.
Armed forces will be equipped with cyber security
The forces will be equipped with cyber security so that satellites can be protected from hacking. Apart from this, satellite operated laser range finders and reconnaissance satellites will also be available. High energy laser systems can also be used in anti-satellite operations.
