News Topical, Digital Desk : Rajiv Gandhi 34th Death Anniversary: ​​A tribute meeting was organized by the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday on the 34th death anniversary of the country's former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. On this occasion, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav offered flowers to Rajiv Gandhi's photo in the state office and garlanded his statue installed in the office. Earlier, Devendra Yadav went to Veer Bhumi and paid tribute to late Rajiv Gandhi along with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.

On this occasion, Devendra Yadav said that Rajiv Gandhi's leadership was visionary. He laid a strong foundation for India based on the principles of justice, freedom, equality and brotherhood. His contribution to the creation of modern India is unforgettable. Today, when India is making international agreements in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), it is the result of his visionary thinking.

He said that Rajiv Gandhi laid the foundation of computer revolution in the country, due to which today India has become a leading nation in the technological world. Indian youth are playing a leading role in the technological sector in many developed and developing countries of the world, which is the result of the direction given by Rajiv Gandhi.

Devendra Yadav further said that Rajiv Gandhi had described education as a weapon that can eradicate centuries-old social inequality. He never looked at the countrymen on the basis of religion, caste or class, but worked with the thought of giving equal rights and opportunities to every citizen under the Constitution. 

Many senior leaders and workers participated in the program organized at the state office. All India Congress Committee's Delhi in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin, Secretary in-charge Danish Abrar, Communication Department Chairman and former MLA Anil Bhardwaj, former MLAs Kunwar Karan Singh and Vijay Lochav, District President Dharampal Chandela, Raj Kumar Jain, Javed Mirza were prominently present.
