News Topical, Digital Desk : Police from the rural police station arrested two suspects in a case of illegal animal slaughter. Two other suspects fled the scene. Police also recovered equipment used in the slaughter. Police have filed a report against the suspects in the case. Police are searching for the absconding suspects.
Inspector Neeraj Kumar, in-charge of the rural police station, said that on the night of March 31st, Sub-Inspector Rameshchandra Gautam was patrolling the area with his team. During this time, near the Chainapuri Gate, they received information from an informant that some people were slaughtering animals at Naeem Qari's house in the Chainapuri locality.
Upon receiving the information, a police team immediately arrived at the scene and, upon looking inside the house, saw four people slaughtering the animal. Police immediately raided the area, cordoned off the area, and apprehended two of the accused, while two others managed to escape by taking advantage of the narrow streets.
The arrested accused are Arif and Naeem Qari of Mohalla Chainapuri. Equipment used for slaughtering animals was also recovered from the scene. Police called a veterinarian to the scene for an examination and collected necessary samples. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they were slaughtering animals with their partner, Zeeshan of Niwajipura, and another unidentified individual.
Seeing the police, both accused fled the scene. Police have filed a report against the three named and one unidentified accused. Police are conducting raids to search for the absconding accused. They will soon be arrested.
