News Topical, Digital Desk : This incident has come to light in the Orchid Petal Society located in the Sector 50 police station area of ​​Gurugram. A Nepali domestic worker hired through a placement agency made off with jewellery and cash worth lakhs of rupees from the home of the BJP's district vice president. 

The accused committed the crime while District Vice President Mamta Bhardwaj was out for a morning walk in the park with her husband, Arun Bhardwaj. When she returned half an hour later, jewelry and cash worth lakhs of rupees were missing from the house. The housekeeper was also missing. Upon receiving the information, Sector-50 police station, along with crime branch and crime scene teams, arrived at the scene and began investigating the case.

The station in-charge inspector gave this information

According to Inspector Narendra Sharma, in-charge of the Crime Branch, Sector 43, Mamta Bhardwaj stated that she lives in Gurugram's Orchid Petal Society. She hired Yuvraj Thapa, a Nepalese domestic help, through a placement agency in Delhi. 

The servant she hired about 15 days ago behaved very well, so yesterday she went for a morning walk in the park with her husband, Arun Bhardwaj. When she returned, the door to the house was open. When she went inside, she found the cupboards open and the items scattered. 

Upon investigation, they discovered that the servant, Yuvraj, was also absconding. Upon further investigation, they discovered that gold and diamond jewelry worth approximately ₹20 lakh and ₹2 lakh in cash were missing from the house. Based on this complaint, the Sector 50 police station registered a case.

Teams formed to catch the servant

According to Inspector Narendra Sharma, two teams were formed to investigate the case. ASI Satbir, constables Rohit, Priyank, Ajit Singh, and Yogendra were included and sent to Delhi's Anand Vihar bus station and another location where buses depart for Nepal. When the team arrived at the Anand Vihar bus station, they found Yuvraj Thapa waiting for a bus. The team apprehended him and brought him to Gurugram. 

When the accused, Yuvraj Thapa, was questioned, he revealed that he, along with another accomplice, Bhim Bahadur, carried out the entire crime. After stealing from the house, they traveled by auto to Aya Nagar in Delhi.

After committing the crime, they divided the stolen goods and then went to the Anand Vihar bus station to travel to Nepal by bus, but the police arrested him beforehand. The accused is currently being interrogated. 

Meanwhile, the team is conducting raids to arrest Bhim Bahadur, another accomplice of the accused involved in the case. It is also being investigated how many crimes the accused have committed in the past. The case is being investigated.
