News Topical, Digital Desk : An incident that shocked the entire area occurred on Saturday evening (January 24) in the Santosh Bhuvan area of Nalasopara East, Maharashtra. A mother brutally murdered her 15-year-old daughter. The incident occurred in the Vidya Vikas Mandal Chawl in Tanda Pada, where an argument between the mother and daughter escalated to a deadly attack.
The dispute started with an argument
According to the police, the accused woman had five children. The deceased girl often assaulted her younger siblings. On the day of the incident, she had also beaten her younger brother and sister. The mother questioned her daughter about why she continued to hit her siblings. Initially, it was just an argument, but anger quickly escalated into violence.
Hit on the head with a stone
During the argument, an enraged mother picked up a stone lying around the house and struck her daughter hard on the head. The girl fell down, seriously injured. Family members and neighbors immediately rushed her to the nearest hospital, but doctors declared her dead before treatment could begin.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Tulinj police arrived at the scene and conducted a panchnama. A murder case was subsequently registered against the accused mother and she was arrested. Police are investigating the matter thoroughly and trying to determine whether there was any existing domestic tension or psychological stress in the home.
Speaking on the matter, Poornima Chougule Shringi, DCP (Zone 3, Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar Police Commissionerate), said that preliminary investigations have revealed a domestic dispute. The accused woman has been taken into custody and is being questioned, and all aspects are being investigated.
