News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has emerged from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Police in the state's Raipur district have arrested a 21-year-old student from the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology in Nava Raipur.
This IIIT student is accused of using AI tools to transform the photographs of dozens of female students into pornographic images. This case has shocked the public. According to reports, the arrested student's name is Syed Rahim Adnan Ali, and he was arrested in Bilaspur.
Police arrested the accused
Regarding this matter, Additional Superintendent of Police (Nava Raipur) Vivek Shukla said on Thursday that a police team had visited the institute after the incident came to light. Management reported that a boy living in the institute's boys' hostel had allegedly used AI to manipulate the photographs of dozens of female students and create obscene images. Police have arrested the accused, Syed Rahim Adnan Ali.
Action taken after receiving a complaint
Officials investigating the case said that after receiving repeated complaints from students, the institute management conducted an internal investigation and suspended Ali from the institute. His phone and laptop were also confiscated.
The Vice Chancellor later filed a police complaint alleging that a student, Syed Rahim Adnan Ali, had used an AI tool to create objectionable images of some female students. The Vice Chancellor alleged that the incident had caused psychological and social harm to the students and their families and damaged the institute's reputation.
