News Topical, Digital Desk : Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir has once again issued a ridiculous statement against India. On Saturday, Munir issued a blatant threat, saying he would give a "befitting reply" to even the slightest provocation from India. He added that there is no place for war in a "nuclearized environment."
Munir made the statement at the graduation ceremony of passing out army cadets at the premier Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. "I advise and strongly caution India's military leadership that there is no place for war in a nuclearised environment," he said.
"We will never be intimidated, will not be compelled by rhetoric and will respond strongly to even the smallest provocation without any hesitation," Munir said.
India-Pakistan conflict mentioned
Referring to the recent conflict between India and Pakistan, Munir claimed that Pakistan's armed forces have displayed tremendous professionalism and far-reaching capability by allegedly neutralising all threats and achieving 'victory' against a 'numerically superior enemy'.
baseless allegations against India
Munir also accused India of using terrorism as a weapon to destabilise Pakistan, saying a handful of terrorists cannot harm Pakistan and warned that all proxies using Afghan soil will be reduced to dust, referring to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The Pakistan Army Chief also urged India to resolve core issues according to international norms, a clear reference to the Kashmir dispute. He also reiterated Pakistan's commitment to provide moral and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Describing Pakistan as a peace-loving country, Munir said it has strong relations with major powers, including the US and China. At the ceremony, cadets from several friendly countries, including Malaysia, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Yemen, Mali, Maldives and Nigeria, also graduated.
