After Shashi Tharoor's name came up in the all-party delegation, some opposition parties including Congress had raised objections.

Now Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has reacted to this. Chairman of the Parliament's Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, while talking to the media before its meeting, said, 'I am not getting into this topic at all.' 

Vikram Misri gave information

He was questioned about Congress' objections to the names included in the delegations. In the meeting of the Standing Committee, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri gave information about the India-Pakistan military conflict that took place after the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22. 

Tharoor will visit 4 countries including America

Tharoor has been chosen by the BJP-led government to lead one of the seven all-party delegations. His group will visit the US and four other countries. 

Congress and TMC objected to their leaders

Tharoor's name was not included in the names of four leaders sent by Congress to the government for the delegations. Trinamool Congress has asked its only representative Yusuf Pathan, who is among the leaders selected to go abroad, to stay out of the delegation. Congress and Trinamool Congress allege that the consent of their leadership was not taken regarding the selection of their leaders for the delegations.
