News Topical, Digital Desk : 7 delegations formed by the Indian government are going to different countries to expose Pakistan's role in terrorism. A delegation led by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has reached the US. At the Indian Consulate in the US, Shashi Tharoor presented India's side on the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.

 

The Congress MP said, "As you know, I do not work for the government. I work for an opposition party. A few days ago, I myself wrote an article saying that the time has come to attack terrorism not only forcefully but also intelligently.

 

What did Shashi Tharoor say on Operation Sindoor?

He further said that I am happy to say that India did exactly this. Our army attacked 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and occupied Kashmir. We chose night time for the action so that no innocent civilian would be harmed.

 

He said that the terrorists killed people by asking their religion. The motive behind this attack was to destroy Hindu-Muslim unity in India, but the countrymen united and opposed this attack. Shashi Tharoor said that "India has given a clear message that it will not tolerate terrorism, it will respond.

Besides, while paying tribute at the 9/11 memorial in New York, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor told news agency ANI, "We went to the 9/11 memorial to send a message that New York too suffered a terror attack 20 years ago and we have the same experience. We want them to understand that there is a need for solidarity. We need to show the resolve of the US to the world that we are against such terror attacks and we will take action."

 

 Apart from Shashi Tharoor, the delegation includes BJP's Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhubaneswar Kalita and Tejasvi Surya as well as LJP (Ram Vilas)'s Shambhavi Choudhary, TDP's GM Harish Balayogi, Shiv Sena's Milind Deora, JMM's Sarfaraz Ahmed and former Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
