News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has come to light from Meerpet, Hyderabad. Meerpet police said a 27-year-old woman poisoned her 11-month-old son and then committed suicide. Meerpet police say the case initially appears to be a dispute between husband and wife. The woman's husband filed the complaint.

Gave poison to 11 month old son

A 27-year-old woman, Sushmita, committed suicide by hanging herself in her home, an officer from the Meerpet police station said on Friday, January 9. The officer further stated that Sushmita's 11-month-old son, Ashwath Nandan Reddy, was given an unknown poison, which also led to his death.

The police officer further stated that Sushmita's sister-in-law, Lalita, 45, also consumed poison. Lalita is currently hospitalized and undergoing treatment, the police said.

Police suspect Sushmita's husband, Yashwant Reddy, in this case. However, Yashwant Reddy himself filed a police complaint. The incident has plunged Meerpet into mourning. Police have begun investigating the matter.
