News Topical, Digital Desk : A 16-year-old schoolgirl, who had been missing since Monday in Narsingi, Hyderabad, was found in a flat in Chengicherla, where she was allegedly raped by three men, including two minors. Police rescued the minor girl from the flat on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old accused, Imran, has been arrested and jailed, while a minor has been sent to a juvenile home. A third suspect remains at large and is being sought.
8th grade student trapped in friend's trap
The victim, a Class 8 student, already knew the arrested minor, who worked as a salesman at a footwear shop in Charminar. She first met him on February 7th and subsequently remained in touch by phone. On February 16th, she went to Medina to meet him after school.
Later, two more accused joined them and took the girl to an empty apartment in Chengicherla. There, the three allegedly assaulted her and forced her to drink alcohol at knifepoint.
Mother filed a kidnapping report
A medical examination revealed injuries to the girl's private parts, police said . The incident came to light after the girl's mother filed a missing person report with police on Tuesday morning.
The minor, who lived with her grandmother in a housing society in Narsingi, where she works as a caretaker, left for school at 8 am on Monday but did not return home.
The girl's mother stated in her complaint, "My daughter usually returns home by 4 p.m. But when she didn't return, my mother informed us. We rushed to her home in Shaheen Nagar and searched for her in the surrounding areas. We also inquired with relatives and friends, but were unable to find her."
