News Topical, Digital Desk : According to religious belief, worshipping Lord Hanuman removes all sorrows and pains from a devotee's life and brings happiness. It is believed that placing an idol of the five-faced incarnation of Lord Hanuman in the home increases happiness and prosperity and destroys negative energy.

Now, the question that may be coming to your mind is why did Hanuman Ji take the five-faced incarnation? Let us tell you the reason behind it.

That's why he took the Panchmukhi avatar

According to legend, when Lord Rama and Ravana were facing defeat in the battle between them, Ravana sought refuge in his elusive brother, Ahiravan, seeking his help. Ahiravan possessed profound knowledge of the occult. During the battle, he used his powers to abduct Rama and Lakshmana and take them to the netherworld to be sacrificed.

Ahiravan had received a special boon.

When Hanuman learned of this, he went to the underworld in search of Shri Ram and Lakshman. Upon reaching the underworld, he learned that killing Ahiravana was impossible through normal means. Ahiravana had received a special boon that to kill him, five lamps burning in different directions would have to be extinguished simultaneously. This presented Hanuman with a problem.

Hanuman extinguished all five lamps.

He then assumed the Panchmukhi avatar to extinguish these five lamps simultaneously. He then extinguished the five lamps simultaneously, killing Ahiravan, thus protecting Lord Rama and Lakshmana. The description of Hanuman's Panchmukhi avatar is found in the Agastya Samhita.

Importance of worshipping the five-faced incarnation of Hanuman

In Sanatan Dharma, worshipping the five-faced incarnation of Hanuman ji holds special significance. Daily worship of Bajrangbali destroys all sins committed knowingly or unknowingly. It also relieves the devotee of the fear of death, anxiety, and stress. The hindrances of ghosts and spirits are removed. During worship on Tuesdays and Saturdays, gram flour laddus should be offered to Hanuman ji. It is believed that offering this offering to the Lord completes unfulfilled tasks.
