News Topical, Digital Desk : Two young men were killed in a horrific road accident on the Udaipur-Chittorgarh highway on Tuesday morning. An out-of-control container overturned on the bike riders at the Bansen culvert in the Bhadesar area. The impact was so severe that one youth was decapitated, while the other was crushed under the container.

The deceased were identified as Kapil Menaria (30), son of Mohan Menaria, a resident of Nagarpalika Colony, Chittorgarh, and Akshit Soni (24), son of Gopal Soni, a resident of Soni Mohalla, Chittorgarh. Both worked at a private finance company.

According to the police, the two young men had set out for a recovery drive around 8:30 a.m. and later visited Shri Sanwaliyaji. The accident occurred at 11:30 a.m. while returning from there. Kapil was driving the bike, and Akshit was riding pillion. A container collided lightly while overtaking on the highway, causing the driver to lose control, and the container overturned and fell on the bike.

Chaos erupted at the scene after the accident. The container was so heavy that even with the help of two cranes, it took about an hour and a half to remove it. During this time, the bodies of the two young men remained buried beneath the container. Later, after considerable effort, the bodies were extricated from the container's plastic raw material. The condition of the bodies was extremely painful.

Kapil was married and has a 5-year-old son. His elder brother is a mechanic, and his father runs an auto service shop. Upon receiving news of the accident, the family was devastated. Local residents have demanded that the administration take strict measures to regulate the speed of heavy vehicles on the highway and increase safety measures.
