News Topical, Digital Desk : A horrific road accident occurred on Thursday (December 18) morning near Bamhaur village on the Purvanchal Expressway in the Mubarakpur police station area of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Three people, including a father and son, were killed. Four others were seriously injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. The van was completely damaged in the accident.
The accident is believed to have been caused by the driver falling asleep. The family was traveling from Meerut to Varanasi when the car crashed in Azamgarh. The family is devastated by the incident. Currently, the police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and have begun further investigation.

According to reports, residents of Alipur village, Sardhana police station area in Meerut district, were traveling to Varanasi by van. The Eco van collided with a truck at high speed from behind near expressway stop number 254. The impact was so severe that the van was severely damaged. Preliminary investigations have identified high speed and the driver's drowsiness as the primary causes of the accident. Three people died on the spot, and the seriously injured, Dolly, Anshika, Kartik, and Satya, were taken to the divisional/district hospital by police from Mubarakpur police station. The bodies were taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
Fog also became the reason
In this case, CO Sadar Aastha Jaiswal stated that the family was traveling from Meerut to Varanasi when a van and truck collided due to fog, resulting in the death of three people. The bodies have been sent to the post-mortem house. The other four injured are being treated at the divisional hospital in Azamgarh. She appealed to people to drive cautiously in fog.
