He said clear boundaries will pave the way for faster development, better law and order and better coordination between the two states.

He also said that Assam is committed to resolving all inter-state issues amicably.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a post on NEXT that the first border pillar has been installed in Pakke Kessang district of Arunachal Pradesh following the signing of the Namsai Declaration. This reflects the shared commitment to resolve outstanding disputes between the two states through dialogue and cooperation.

Himanta thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu for their cooperation and support. It is noteworthy that the Namsai Declaration was signed between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh after extensive consultations.
