News Topical, Digital Desk : The accused in the murder of a history-sheeter in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, was absconding in Jaipur disguised as a beggar. The accused, carrying a reward of 50,000 rupees, had shaved his head to evade police. He was begging with a bowl outside the Hanuman temple in Jaipur. Police arrested the accused, Deepak Mansaria, on Sunday. Jhunjhunu District Superintendent of Police Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay said that David, a history-sheeter from the area, was murdered about three months ago. Deepak, the accused in the murder, had been absconding.

How did the police get clues about the accused?

Police received information from an informant that Deepak was posing as a beggar at a temple in Jaipur. When police arrived, he was found begging in tattered clothes. He had also been in Delhi for the past month while absconding.

Monitored for two days

Police had been monitoring Deepak for the past two days. He was arrested on Sunday. History-sheeter David and Deepak had a long-standing rivalry, which is why Deepak murdered David. Several other cases are already registered against Deepak.
