News Topical, Digital Desk : A panchayat called to resolve a land dispute in Rampur Fatehpur village, under the Dadri police station area of ​​Greater Noida, turned into a bloody clash on Sunday. During the panchayat, an argument between the two sides escalated to the point where gunfire broke out. 

Two people were injured in the incident. Police have detained four individuals and launched an investigation. According to police, there was a long-standing dispute between Tejbir Fauji, Bharat Singh (the first party), and Vikal (the second party) over a plot of land in Rampur Fatehpur village.

Panchayat was called to resolve the dispute

A village panchayat was called on Sunday to resolve this dispute. During the panchayat, a heated argument broke out between the two sides, and then suddenly, gunfire erupted. Ashok was shot in the leg and Sauvinder in the hand. 

Both were immediately rushed to the community health center, where they received first aid and were then referred to a larger hospital. Doctors reported their condition to be stable. The incident caused chaos at the scene and panic among the villagers.

Police reached the spot as soon as information was received 

Upon receiving information about the incident, Dadri police station arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. Police recovered several shell casings from the scene. Following an initial investigation, four people have been detained and are being questioned. According to officials, both parties involved in the incident belong to the same community.

Regarding this incident, the police say that upon receiving a written complaint from the victim, a case will be registered and further legal action will be taken. They are also investigating who else was involved in the incident and where the weapons came from.

This firing incident has spread panic among the villagers. People are now demanding security measures in the Panchayat to prevent such incidents in the future.
