
Good Bad Ugly Worldwide Collection Day 6: Ajith Kumar starrer Tamil action comedy 'Good Bad Ugly' was the much awaited film of the year and it hit the theatres on 10th April. Ajith's strong character in the film which opened a worldwide account of 51.5 crores has won the hearts of the fans. The result of which was also seen in the second day's collection. Now this film is missing out on earning 200 crores by just a few crores. Let's take a look at its earning graph.
Ajith Kumar's film did not budge an inch
Action-comedy 'Goodbye Ugly' is clashing with Sunny Deoli's Jaat. But in terms of earnings, Ajith Kumar's film is ahead in every way. According to bollymoviereviewz.com, a site that keeps box office data, the film has collected 12 crores worldwide on the 6th day. This earning can be considered great as per the weekday. If the total figures are combined, the film has so far collected 184.75 crores at the worldwide box office.
Makers received a legal notice of Rs 5 crore
Although Good Bad Ugly is doing great at the box office, the film is now embroiled in a major controversy. Veteran music composer Ilaiyaraaja has made serious allegations against the makers of the film. He says that songs from his old films have been included in the film without permission. Ilaiyaraaja alleges that songs like Utha Rubayum Tharen from Nattupura Pattu, Ilamai Idho Idho from Shakalaka Valvan and Manja Kuruvi from Vikram have been used in the film without his permission.
Regarding this matter, he has sent a notice to the film makers to pay compensation of Rs 5 crore. He has also made it clear that if these songs are not removed from the film, then he will take strict legal action against it. Now it remains to be seen what stand the makers take on this controversy.
About 'Good Bad Ugly'...
National Award winning composer GV Prakash has given his music in the film. The cinematography of the film is done by Abinandan Ramanujam and editing by Vijay Velukutty. The stunts of the film are choreographed by Supreme Sundar and Kaloian Vodenicharov. Apart from Ajith Kumar and Trishna Krishnan, Sunil, Arjun Das, Priya Prakash Varrier and Prasanna are also seen in this film. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravishankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. The film is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 270-300 crore.
