According to Australia Today, Charanpreet Singh had gone out for a walk with his wife on Saturday evening. At around 9:22 pm, he was passing near Kintore Avenue in Adelaide. Then some people attacked him because he was an Indian.

Charanpreet narrated his ordeal

Charanpreet Singh told the police that the accused were making racist remarks at him. After this, they started hitting him without any reason. According to Charanpreet,

All he was saying was "Fuck you, Indian" and then he started slapping and punching me. I tried to fight back, but he kept hitting me until I fainted.

Charanpreet Singh says, "When such things happen to you, you feel like going back to your country. You can change yourself but you cannot change your colour."

The video of this incident has also surfaced on social media, in which 5 accused are seen brutally beating Charanpreet Singh. In the video, it can be seen that the five accused are kicking and punching him on his stomach and face. At the same time, Charanpreet's wife is seen scared while recording this entire incident on camera and is constantly trying to stop them.

Giving information about the incident, the Australian police said that a 20-year-old man has been arrested. Police said, "When we arrived, the victim was lying unconscious on the ground. He had suffered severe injuries on his face. He has been taken to the hospital. Police is investigating the matter."
