News Topical, Digital Desk : On the last day of the monsoon session of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot came to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and while addressing the media, he put forth his views on various issues. Gehlot demanded a special session of the Assembly in view of the flood situation.

Expressing concern over the situation of rain and flood in the state, Ashok Gehlot demanded that a special session of the assembly be called or the current session be extended and a special discussion be held on this issue. Apart from this, he demanded a special relief package for farmers and other affected people.

What did you say about CCTV cameras in the House?

Ashok Gehlot also gave a statement on the ongoing Congress protest in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly regarding CCTV cameras. He said, "Our Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie has raised this issue very well. We cannot expect the current government to remove these cameras before the next session, but our Leader of Opposition will decide how far this movement should be taken forward. 

Let us tell you that Congress protested in Rajasthan assembly against the installation of hidden cameras in the opposition block. Congress also accused Bhajan Lal government of surveillance.

'It seems like there is no governance'

Meanwhile, in the case of disaster management and the alleged deteriorating law and order situation during the floods in Rajasthan, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, "It does not seem that there is any governance in Rajasthan. The dam broke in Ajmer and people's houses were flooded and people suffered losses. I personally went there. I also spoke to the Chief Minister and the Assembly Speaker. This matter should be treated separately and a special package should be given and a separate survey should be conducted."
