
News Topical, Digital Desk : Delhi Fake Traffic Arrested: On Thursday morning every person passing near Bhajanpura U-turn in Delhi was thinking that now they will get a challan. A young man wearing a blue jacket, white shirt, blue pants and a mask with the monogram of 'Delhi Police' was collecting money from passersby by showing the challan on his mobile phone, but who knew that this person is not a real policeman but a fake one and soon the real hands of the law will catch him.
Delhi Police received important information
The whole case is of Dayalpur police station area, where the police received a shocking information at around 11:47 am that a man in traffic police uniform was issuing challans near Bhajanpura police station. On receiving the information, SHO Inspector Paramveer Dahiya reached the spot with his QRT team. The zonal officer of traffic police ASI Ravi Kumar, who was already present there, told the police that an auto driver had told him about the antics of this fake traffic police. When the police reached the spot, they saw that the young man was extorting money from drivers by showing the glimpse of the challan on the screen of his mobile.

The fake officer caught has been identified as Sonu Kumar (age 25) resident of Baghpat. During interrogation, it was revealed that Sonu had got a uniform prepared like that of Delhi Traffic Police, so that he could do the drama of challaning people on the roads like a real officer and collect money from them by threatening them.
The police seized a mobile phone, cash, a Delhi Traffic Police jacket and a mask with the monogram of Delhi Police from him. During investigation of the mobile, his photographs wearing uniform were also found which became a solid proof of his fraud. In this case, a case has been registered in the Dayalpur police station under the relevant sections of the IPC and further legal action has been initiated.
Delhi Police appeals to people
This entire operation was carried out under the guidance of DCP North-East District, Hareshwar V. Swamy (IPS). The North-East District Police has appealed to the citizens that if they see any suspicious person in uniform, they should immediately inform the nearest police station because the real police is deployed for your security, not those in fake uniform.
