New Delhi: Actress and MP Kangana Ranaut is waiting for the release of her film 'Emergency'. The movie was supposed to hit the theatres on 6 September, but its release was banned at the last moment.
Kangana Ranaut has recently given some interviews, where she talked a lot about the film Emergency. In one of these, she talked about selling her bungalow and also told why she did so.
Kangana spoke about selling the property
Recently, news came that Kangana has planned to sell her Pali Hill bungalow in Mumbai. The actress told the truth about this in News 18 Chaupal. She told that she has put all her property on the release of the film Emergency.
Kangana's bungalow was demolished in 2020
The property that Kangana has sold has been considered controversial. In 2020, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished a part of it. This happened when Kangana criticized Uddhav Thackeray and clashed with Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Her bungalow was then demolished under the Thackeray government. The BMC claimed that her bungalow was illegal, so the demolition was being done. After the demolition, Kangana was offered Rs 2 crore which she refused to take.
In 2020, it was revealed that Kangana had sold her multi-storey property in Pali Hill area of Bandra for Rs 32 crore. Regarding this, the actress said that she had to do so because her money was stuck due to the delay in the release of the film Emergency.
'Property comes in handy only in bad times'
It was claimed that Kangana used the property as an office for her production company 'Manikarnika Films'. On this, the actress said, "Emergency was my film which was about to release, so I put my property at stake for this movie and now it has not been released. This is what property is for, so that it can be useful in difficult times."
