News Topical, Digital Desk : Political activities have intensified in Maharashtra regarding the local body elections. Meanwhile, Deputy CM and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Wednesday (August 6). Talking to the media after this meeting, he said that there is no difference of opinion between us and the CM. 

The two leaders also discussed the BMC elections. Eknath Shinde has claimed that the parties involved in the Mahayuti will fight the local body elections together. He also expressed confidence of winning this election. Reacting to the alliance in the local body elections and the relationship with CM Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde said, “Mahayuti will fight the local body elections together in Maharashtra. We will win the local body elections. Our Shiv Sena runs on the ideology of Bala Saheb Thackeray.”

We do politics of development, not of power- Shinde

Maharashtra Deputy CM and Shiv Sena chief Shinde said, "In today's meeting, there was also a discussion on alliance for the upcoming elections. There is no difference of opinion between us and the CM. We do politics of development, not of power."

What did Shinde say on meeting Amit Shah?

On meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, "I keep coming here when the House is in session. Our MPs have also met the Home Minister. Our MPs had some issues of their constituencies and they were discussed. Yesterday in the NDA meeting, PM Modi said good things about the Home Minister. He said that Amit Shah has worked the most number of days as Home Minister and he has to work more in future too, so we respected him."

What did Shinde say on Raj-Uddhav Thackeray coming together?

Deputy CM Eknath Shinde also gave his reaction on the speculations of coming together with Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray. He said, "Everyone has the right to contest elections and form an alliance. Our Mahayuti will win the elections. You people make the questions, you people give the answers. There is no animosity. Our agenda is the development of Maharashtra."
