
News Topical, Digital Desk : ED has collected many solid evidences in the three-day operation at the premises of land dealer Gyan Chand Agarwal and his associates in the case of land scams worth more than Rs 150 crore in Jaipur. The investigation has revealed that Gyan Chand has cheated more than three hundred people in Jaipur in the name of giving land, many of whom have lodged a complaint with the police.
Agrawal took money from people but did not give them possession of the land. Cases are registered against him in various police stations of Jaipur, in which Shyamnagar police station has declared him a history sheeter. ED raids also revealed that Agrawal and his associates have invested the money earned from land scams abroad. They have also taken stakes in foreign companies.
Cash worth Rs 3 crore and jewellery worth Rs 10 crore recovered
According to ED, during the raid, cash worth Rs 3 crore and jewellery worth Rs 10 crore were recovered from the businessman's house. A metal detector revealed a safe hidden in a room, which was broken to check the cash and jewellery. Information has also been received about fraud in the name of land and mining in other cities of the state, the investigation of which is ongoing.
