News Topical, Digital Desk : Following the IndiGo crisis, the government's crackdown now looms over senior airline officials. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a notice to IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers, ordering him to appear before it by tomorrow evening.

The DGCA has asked IndiGo to submit a detailed report on the entire matter. The report will include all facts related to the flight cancellations and delays. Peter Albers must submit this report to the DGCA office by Thursday evening.

DGCA gave order

The DGCA stated that IndiGo's CEO has been ordered to report by 3 pm on Thursday. The CEO will be required to attend a DGCA meeting with all senior officials from the relevant department.

The DGCA has also requested information from IndiGo on current flights, including cabin crew numbers, duty hours, flight schedules, cancellations, and refunds.

Formation of panel for investigation

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also formed a panel to investigate the IndiGo crisis. This four-member committee is working to determine the real reason behind the flight cancellations. The committee includes Director General Sanjay Brahmane, Deputy Director General Amit Gupta, Flight Operations Inspector Kapil Manglik, and Information Authority Officer Lokesh Rampal.

DGCA chief Faiz Ahmed Kidwai said on December 5 that the panel will also monitor IndiGo's compliance with Flight Duty Time Limit (FDTL) regulations. Strict action will be taken against airlines violating FDTL regulations.
