News Topical, Digital Desk : Delhi News: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government and said that postponing the Delhi Assembly session proposed on May 13-14 without any concrete reason is proof of the government running away from its responsibilities. He alleged that the BJP government has failed to fulfill the promises made to the people and is now postponing the assembly session to hide its failures.

Congress leader Devendra Yadav said that the capital Delhi is currently battling severe heat, and people are facing severe shortage of water and electricity. In such a situation, these important issues should have been discussed in the assembly session. Also, before the monsoon, discussions were necessary on issues related to cleaning of drains, repair of roads and development of Delhi. But Chief Minister Rekha Gupta postponed this session with the consent of the Delhi Cabinet without giving any clear reason.

'No concrete work has been done so far'
Devendra Yadav said that it has been almost 100 days since the BJP government came to power, but Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is not showing any enthusiasm in implementing the promises made to the public. He said that the BJP had made many promises like repairing roads, pollution control, water for every house, cleaning of drains and giving houses to slum dwellers, on which no concrete work has been done so far.

Recalling the Aam Aadmi Party's rule,
the Congress President took the government to task on the water crisis and power cuts and said that the Delhi Jal Board has failed to solve this crisis and the government is looking for a temporary solution of water supply through tankers, which has the possibility of huge corruption. He reminded that during the Aam Aadmi Party's rule, the BJP had raised the issue of tanker mafia a lot, but now the same situation seems to be developing in the BJP government.

'Cleaning of many big drains is incomplete'
Devendra Yadav said that cleaning of drains and pollution control is happening only on paper. He alleged that cleaning of many big drains including Najafgarh drain, Barapula, Shahdara, Tughlakabad, and Delhi Gate is incomplete and even where cleaning has been done, the silt has not been removed. Once the rain comes, it will again flow into the drains. On the pollution situation, he said that when pollution is generally low in the month of May, this time it is more than the last three years, while the government is making claims of 'clean Delhi'.

'BJP is not at all serious about the problems of the people'
Finally, Yadav said that in three months, the BJP government has only been seen running away from its responsibilities and now by adjourning the assembly session, it has once again proved that the BJP government is not at all serious about development, health, education, basic facilities and the problems of the people of Delhi.
