News Topical, Digital Desk : Flight operations at Chennai airport were disrupted on Sunday due to poor visibility caused by dense fog. Officials said three flights, including an international flight arriving in Chennai, were diverted to nearby airports. Some flights also experienced minor delays.
"Moderate to dense fog prevailed at Chennai's Meenambakkam airport. Visibility was around 1,500 metres at 5:30 am, which dropped to 350 metres by 6:30 am and further to 150 metres by 7:30 am due to fog," the official said.
Two flights arriving from Kuala Lumpur and Hyderabad were diverted to Tiruchirapalli, while a city-bound private flight returned to Bengaluru.
