News Topical, Digital Desk : A shameful incident has come to light from the Hafizpur police station area of Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh. The sacred relationship between teacher and student has been tarnished in a temple of education. A 13-year-old minor student, who had gone to school to collect her exam results, was allegedly molested and sexually assaulted by the school principal. Furthermore, he also treated her family members who came to complain.
Given the sensitivity of the matter, the police have registered a case under relevant sections, arrested the accused, and launched an investigation. While the victim, a student, remains in shock. The family has demanded strict action.
What is the whole matter?
According to reports, the entire incident took place in Nan village, under the Hafizpur police station. According to a police complaint, on Saturday morning at around 7:30 a.m., a 13-year-old student, a Class 7 student at the village's BNC Memorial Junior High School, went to school to collect her results. It is alleged that the school principal, Raj Kumar Sharma, son of Hukum Singh Sharma, called the student to his office on the pretext of revealing her results.
The victim alleges that the principal began making obscene advances toward her inside the office and forcibly attempted to remove her clothes. Despite the student's repeated protests and pleas, the accused refused. She managed to escape, and upon reaching home, she narrated her ordeal to her family.
It is alleged that when the victim's father along with his wife and daughter reached the school to interrogate the accused, the Principal not only abused and behaved indecently with him, but also insulted him by using casteist words and threatened to kill him.
Police arrested the accused
Taking immediate action in this serious matter, the police have registered a case against the accused principal, Raj Kumar Sharma, under sections 74, 352, and 351(3) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 7/8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police have sent the victim to the District Hospital, Hapur, for a medical examination. Taking action in this case, the police arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
