According to reports, this incident occurred at the PAC's 9th Battalion, located on Kath Road in the Civil Lines police station area, where a soldier, Vikas Gautam (34), died under suspicious circumstances. Vikas Gautam, a resident of Batipura village in the Kithaur police station area of ​​Meerut, had been posted in Moradabad since 2019. He was responsible for training the women's reserve unit and was known for his calm nature and discipline.

Upon receiving information about the incident, panic gripped the PAC campus, creating panic among fellow soldiers. Police from the Civil Lines police station and PAC officers arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
