News Topical, Digital Desk : On Tuesday morning, a woman attempted self-immolation in front of the Vidhan Bhavan. Police and anti-suicide squads deployed at the scene stopped her in time. She was then taken to the Hazratganj police station.

During interrogation, the woman revealed that she had attempted suicide due to frustration over the lack of a hearing in a land dispute. The woman has been identified as Sandhya Singh, a resident of New Sri Nagar Colony in Manak Nagar.
