New Delhi: Delhi Rain News The Public Works Department will now review every monsoon rainfall. How heavy was the rainfall and for how long and during this time where did the waterlogging occur on the department's roads and how much waterlogging happened and for how long and what were the reasons for it. A study will be done on this.

The report will be submitted after the inspection

Those points will be inspected again during the next rain and a report will be submitted. If the waterlogging is caused by some other agency, a solution will be found by holding a meeting with them.

This review report will also be submitted to the team working on the drainage master plan to be made for Delhi, so that it becomes clear how much rainfall has occurred in Delhi. A plan can be prepared on that basis.

Delhi faces waterlogging every time

In the name of cleaning the drains in Delhi during monsoon, not only is the cleaning done as a formality, the geographical condition of Delhi is also such that it is not possible for the city to withstand heavy rainfall. In such a situation, Delhi struggles with waterlogging every time.

It was told that even shops and houses get flooded with rainwater. Seeing all these problems, the Public Works Department is worried.

What did the former chief engineer say?

Dinesh Kumar, former chief engineer of the Public Works Department, says that it cannot be said that there will be no waterlogging in Delhi. But the main thing is how much work has been done to reduce it.

Another important thing is that how much time did it take for the water to drain out after filling up. Many times, when Delhi receives rainfall much more than its capacity, then a problem arises. The only solution for this is that better arrangements should be made for it.
