New Delhi: On Independence Day, Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday launched a campaign named 'Desh Azad-Loktantra Jail Me' (Desh Azad Loktantra Jail Me campaign). AAP alleged that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, elected for the first time in the history of independent India, has been undemocratically kept behind prison bars in a false case by the dictatorial government of the Center without any crime and evidence. Due to this, the Chief Minister could not hoist the tricolor at his official residence on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day.

AAP launched this campaign saying that the freedom fighters would have never thought that an elected Chief Minister (Arvind Kejriwal) would be put in jail in a false case. So on this Independence Day, let us all take a pledge to fight against dictatorship.

Posted on Arvind Kejriwal not hoisting the flag

CM Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal tweeted on not hoisting the tricolour at the residence and said that it was very sad that the tricolour was not hoisted at the CM residence today. This dictatorship can keep an elected Chief Minister in jail, but how can it stop the patriotism in the heart?

On the other hand, senior leader of Aam Aadmi Party and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia also targeted the dictatorial government of the country regarding this. He tweeted and said that on the anniversary of "independence from the British", salute to that spirit, which is today imprisoned in the dictator's jail "to protect freedom from dictatorship".

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh targeted by posting

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh posted on X that the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who made the dream of improving the level of education and health in India, free electricity, water and bus travel for mothers and sisters, come true in Delhi, is in jail on Independence Day.

The campaign to make the country prosperous will continue. The party's Delhi state convenor and cabinet minister Gopal Rai and AAP's senior leader and education minister Atishi also remembered the CM by posting on Instagram. Both these leaders also condemned the CM being in jail today. They said that he has been kept in jail as part of a conspiracy.
