On Saturday, a dispute over a birthday gift in Rohini Sector-17 took a horrific turn. A young man killed his wife and mother-in-law in a fit of rage. The police have arrested the accused and recovered blood-stained clothes and scissors from the crime scene.
How was the incident revealed?
On Saturday (August 30) afternoon at around 3:50 pm, KNK Marg police station received information that two women had been murdered in a house in Rohini Sector-17. When the police reached the spot, the bodies of 63-year-old Kusum Sinha and 34-year-old Priya Sehgal were found lying in the room.
Both were attacked with sharp weapons. Initial investigation revealed that the cause of the murder was a domestic dispute, which took the form of a quarrel over the exchange of gifts.
Police action
The accused Yogesh Sehgal was arrested. Blood-stained clothes and scissors used in the murder were seized from the crime scene. The crime team and forensic (FSL) investigation team were called to the spot. According to ANI, the police confirmed that the case appears to be a domestic dispute.
Investigation and further action
Making serious allegations, Megh Sinha, brother of the victim Priya, said that Yogesh tried to escape with the children after killing both his wife and mother. However, the police caught him. The police is now interrogating the accused so that the whole truth of the incident can be brought out. This sensational incident has spread panic in the area and people are discussing the importance of handling domestic disputes.
