The cab driver informed the police
This incident occurred on Friday (January 23) afternoon. A cab driver passing by the Kakrola Drain picket noticed two bodies floating in the drain water. He immediately informed the police. Police teams from the Mohan Garden and Najafgarh police stations arrived at the scene.
The police immediately called in divers and retrieved both bodies from the drain. Najafgarh police station in-charge Sahiram Meena and Inspector Omveer Vishnoi were also present at the scene. Given the seriousness of the case, the crime team and the FSL team were also called in to investigate.
DCP took stock of the situation
Upon receiving information about the incident, Dwarka District DCP Ankit Singh arrived at the scene. He directed officers to investigate from every angle. Police officials say the cause of death is currently unclear and it would be premature to draw any conclusions.
The postmortem report will reveal the secret
Police have sent both bodies to Rao Tula Ram Hospital in Jafarpur Kala for postmortems . According to officials, only after the postmortem report is received will it be clear whether the case was an accident, a suicide, or a conspiracy.
Husband and wife found dead, missing since January
Preliminary investigations revealed a mobile phone recovered from the man's body, which identified him as Munna Lal, approximately 58 years old. The woman's body was identified as Ramvati Devi, approximately 55 years old.
Investigation revealed that the couple were husband and wife and had been missing from the Bindapur police station area since January 17th. Their son, Ritesh, had filed a missing person report at the police station at that time. Now, the police are linking this case to the missing person case and taking further action.
